The alignment of the derailleur hanger is now more important than ever, with the constantly expanding rear cog count on modern bikes and the tighter tolerances that the chain and derailleur need to run to. If your hanger is even slightly out, shifting performance can be affected. The HAG helps to avoid this problem in a way that no other tool can.

Measuring just 28cm when collapsed, the Hanger Alignment Gauge will fit easily into any travelling mechanic's toolbox. The brass bushing in the head is replaceable, so that you can change it out if it starts getting worn, and it's reamed for smooth T-bolt action.

The handle can spin 360 degrees to avoid common obstacles, like the seat stay, rack stays and fenders, while the gauge stick and handle top are both threaded, so that the stick can be locked to achieve a consistent measurement as you move the point of reference around the rim. That stick not only carries a scale, so that you can be precise with your measurements, but tucks handily into the top of the head when it's not needed.

Meanwhile, tight tolerances within the handle limit play, so that unlike with other hanger tools, the HAG remains solid at its full extension, ensuring an exceptionally low margin of error in your alignment and better drive train action. When collapsed, it can double as a superb pry bar, allowing you to tug incorrectly aligned hangers back into place there and then.
